A lawyer, professor, and freelance translator/interpreter, Alejos is a graduate from the MA in Translation and Interpretation at California’s Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS). Born in Merida, Mexico, he worked 8 years for the legal department of the State of Yucatan, has taught at universities like the Peninsular Center for Humanities and Social Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and also has 10 years of experience as a music festival organizer and record label owner.

Kamal Annabi has more than three decades of extensive and diverse language experience including projects with the United Nations and its affiliated organizations, as well as the International Olympic Committee, multiple Olympic and Paralympic Games, several international sports federations, the International Red Cross and other global relief organizations, and the World Economic Forum. Laura holds a Master of Arts in Chinese/English Translation and Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (1995), where she has been a full-time faculty member since 2000. Leire Carbonell-Agüero is an Assistant Professor at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Leire brings with her over a decade of conference interpretation experience and has worked for a wide range of clients including major technology companies in Silicon Valley, public organizations, and private corporations. Her fields of specialization include business, law, political and diplomatic discourse, and information technology. Leire holds a Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Alicante in Spain and a Master of Arts in Conference Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She is an active member of the American Association of Language Specialists (TAALS) and of the American Translators Association (ATA).

A resident of Jakarta, Indonesia, Tiya Diran has served as press officer to two First Ladies of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as a television reporter and newscaster, and a master of ceremonies for various domestic and international events. She has been honored to interpret for world leaders, including President and Michelle Obama, HE Kofi Annan, and HRH The Prince of Wales. In addition, her professional interpretation engagements span events at the World Bank, World Economic Forum East Asia, and multiple gatherings of world leaders, including G20 and G8 summits. Andrea holds a Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Her work includes assignments with the U.S. Department of State, the German Parliament, several major German car manufacturers, as well as numerous other international clients. She has also worked on the interpretation team for four Olympic Games. Andrea has been teaching translation and interpretation at the Monterey Institute of International Studies since 1994 and has been the Head of the German translation and interpretation program since 2010. She is a member of AIIC.

Pascale Ledeur Kraus brings more than three decades of translation, conference interpretation, voice-over, narration, and announcing experience to Tiller Language Services clients. Her work includes assignments with the United States Department of State, the Organization of American States, the International Olympic Committee, the World Bank, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and the Pan-American Health Organization, as well as Sprint, AOL, the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations, the World Food Program, the World Health Organization and myriad other official agencies and clients. Pascale received the Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite (Knight of the Order of Merit of the French Republic) award. She holds an MBA in international business and strategic planning from The George Washington University, a degree in Conference interpretation and translation from ISIT in Paris and a Master of arts in conference interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
A resident of Hanoi, Vietnam, Doan Duc Luu brings more than three decades of interpretation experience to Tiller Language Services clients. He specializes in interpreting pharmaceutical, financial and economic content and has interpreted for multiple World Economic Forums, the Sustainable Urban Development Forum and the APEC Japan 2010 Ministerial Meeting on Food Security. Doan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hanoi Foreign Languages University and a Master of Arts in Population & Social Research from Mahidol University, Bangkok. Mélissa worked as an in-house translator and project manager for ATHOC (Athens 2004 Organizing Committee, Greece), Compuware (France) and Sony (United Kingdom) before launching her freelance career in 2009. Now based in Toronto, Canada, she is a Certified Translator and member of ATIO (Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario) since 2012. She collaborates with various clients, mostly public administration and non-profit organizations, with a focus on public health, environmental sciences, new technologies, education and corporate communications. Alexandre Ponomarev earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from the Moscow State Linguistic University, and went on to obtain his Master of Arts in Conference Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. For nearly twenty years, Alexandre has worked as a conference interpreter and translator for a broad range of high-profile events such as the G8, G20, and the World Economic Forum in Davos. Shelly (Zhe) Wang is a conference interpreter and translator based in Seattle, WA. She holds a Master of Arts in Conference Interpreting from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Bill is a recognized leader in the global language-services community. He holds a master of arts in conference interpretation from the University of Geneva/Switzerland, and has served as the chief interpreter for eight Olympic Games. His significant, global client roster includes multiple G7 and G8 Summits, as well as the United Nations. Bill was the Dean of the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation at the Monterey Institute for International Studies for 14 years, and a consultant with numerous graduate schools of Translation and Interpretation in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the U.S. Bill has trained interpreters for 50 years and is the author of The Training of Translators and Conference Interpreters.
